ABOUT JEFF KALISS
Jeff Kaliss has been writing about entertainment and culture for his entire adult life, from his college newspaper in Boston to his new biography of Sly & the Family Stone, the anthemic band formed just a mile from Jeff's current family home in San Francisco. Aside from books, Jeff writes feature pieces and album and live reviews for international, national, and regional magazines and weekly and daily newspapers and websites. He's also the author of encyclopedia entries, album liner notes, and festival program notes, and is working on a script based on his latest book.
Jeff's feature, review, and book subjects have spanned rock, jazz, world music, opera, classical music, show musicals, theater, film, tv, and radio.
